These terms apply to everything bought at Halifax Kilo Sale, ground floor, 68 Horton Street, Halifax HX1 1QE.

How pricing works

Everything on the kilo floor is sold by weight at £20 per kilogram, whatever the brand or the label. Your basket is weighed in one go at the counter on trade-approved scales and the total is calculated from that weight. Any item priced individually will carry its own ticket and is not sold by weight.

Condition of stock

This is genuine second-hand vintage clothing. It has been worn before. Items may show fading, marks, small holes, repairs, missing buttons or other signs of age, and sizing on vintage labels often does not match modern sizing. Everything is sold as seen — please check each piece before you buy it. We are happy to help you look anything over at the counter.

Returns and refunds

Because stock is second-hand, one-of-a-kind and sold by weight, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, for fit, or for wear and condition that was present at the time of sale.

This does not affect your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described and fit for purpose, taking into account that they are sold second-hand and as seen. If something was misdescribed by us, bring it back with your receipt within 30 days and we will put it right.

Note that the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations applies to distance and off-premises sales. It does not apply to purchases made in person in our shop.

Payment

We accept card and contactless only. We do not take cash. Please keep your receipt — it is proof of purchase.

In the shop

• Stock is not reserved or held, and we cannot take items off the floor for later collection.
• We may limit the quantity any one person can buy at busy times so that everyone gets a fair go.
• Children are very welcome but remain the responsibility of the adult with them.
• We may refuse service and ask anyone to leave who behaves abusively towards our staff or other customers.

Buying in volume

If you want to buy a large quantity, please talk to us first rather than filling multiple baskets — email kilohalifax@gmail.com and we will sort something out. There is a loading bay downstairs for bigger collections.

Opening hours

Thursday to Saturday 10am–6pm, Sunday 11am–4pm, closed Monday to Wednesday while we restock. Hours may change on bank holidays — we post any changes on Instagram @kilosalehalifax.
