Halifax Kilo Sale is a vintage clothing shop on the ground floor of SAULT. Social, 68 Horton Street, Halifax HX1 1QE. This policy explains what we do with your personal information and what your rights are under UK GDPR.

What we collect

If you join our mailing list: your first name and email address, plus the date you signed up.

If you buy from us in store: we take card payments through our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. If you ask for a receipt by email, we store that email address against the transaction.

When you visit this website: standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed, used to keep the site working and to count how many people visit.

Why we use it

• Marketing emails — only where you have given consent by joining the list. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
• Completing your purchase — to take payment and issue receipts. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• Running the business — keeping accounting records, which we are legally required to retain for six years.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Shopify — our website, customer list and till system.
• Our card payment provider — to process payments in store.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days. Transaction records are kept for six years to meet HMRC requirements.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to us using it for marketing, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
